Benefit Park Improvements
With a Small and Simple grant from the City's Department of Neighborhoods, Karen Kiest completed a new master plan for the park, which reconfigures the existing asphalt play area (the park was previously a school site), and re-uses the existing play are within a space that better references the stone sculpture, oriented to Mt. Rainier.
Play area upgrades include play elements for younger and older kids, a climber, and other equipment addressing ADA, play safety, and maintenance concerns, a huge sand box, and new basketball courts.
